Household Guards
Household Guard Units come in three separate forms, each with their own advantages and disadvantages. Every Character automatically has a Household Guard unit. Each unit consists of 200 men and they do not count towards your unit upkeep limit.
English Knights
Heavy Cavalry
Powerful in a charge and can be dismounted if necessary. These units are automatically assigned to English Lords and consist of the most elite soldiers in the Kingdom.
Mercenary Knights
Heavy Cavalry

These Knights are better equipped than their English counterparts, loyalty is not an issue when war is going well however, if fortune turns, the men may be vulnerable to intriguers. Mercenary Knights are automatically assigned to those Lords who dwell in exile.
Galloglaich Warriors
Heavy Infantry
These units dominate lesser infantry, but are vulnerable to cavalry. Only the biggest and strongest men make their way into these elite units. Their ferocity in battle has a devastating effect on the morale of lesser infantrymen These units are automatically assigned to Irish Lords.
